Like the mythical Phoenix, Warsaw rose from the ashes of World War II. The Miasto Feniksa War*saw Everything exhibition on Krakowskie Przedmieście Street features a collection of 28 unique photographs of the city, both old and new. The exhibition opened to commemorate the 64th anniversary of the start of the Warsaw Uprising on Aug. 1, 1944. The collection is also available online.

Photomontages dominate the show. In them, old photographs are morphed with contemporary views of the same places. The exhibition opens with a picture that combines a panorama of Warsaw from 1854 and today. The organizers of the exhibition are Maciej Kościelniak and Piotr Margas of Oneshot Design studio, together with Warsaw City Hall.

64 Krakowskie Przedmieście St., corner of Miodowa Street, open until Aug. 31
Also available at www.miastofeniksa.pl until Oct. 31.
