European Culture Festival
September 3, 2008
Article's tools:

Performers from across Europe will come to the fourth Cross-Culture Festival in Warsaw that starts Sept. 13. The event is designed to promote respect for cultural diversity, tolerance and dialogue between people from different countries.

The festival focuses on music, theater and film, in addition to other genres. This year, it will feature international stars of ethnic and world music, alongside theater troupes with innovative approaches to art. There will also be movies by young Austrian filmmakers, music and dance workshops, and discussions about culture. Additionally, the festival will include a music fair and an art exhibition.

The event will kick off with a concert at the National Philharmonic, performed by Roma violinist Roby Lakatos, accompanied by the Tangata Quintet from Warsaw.

More festival events will take place in front of the Palace of Culture and Science, at the Muranów and Palladium movie theaters, the Studio Theater, and the Łowicka Culture Center.

Sept. 13-21
