Funk-music legend George Clinton will perform at a special "Music for Peace" concert at the site of Warsaw's former Koneser vodka distillery Sept. 6 to remember the victims of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York seven years ago.

Clinton, the founder of big bands Parlament and Funkadelic, is known for his hit song "We Want the Funk." The bands exerted a huge influence on contemporary rappers and hip-hop producers. Artists such as Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg and in particular Dr. Dre have followed in the footsteps of Clinton.

Sept. 6, Former Koneser Vodka Distillery, 27/31 Ząbkowska St., Warsaw. Entry is free.
