- Campaign Promoting Poland on CNN
The biggest ever advertising campaign promoting Poland is to go to air on CNN in the fall. Warsaw will be one of the cities to be promoted in the campaign. This is the first such campaign organized by the City of Warsaw. The WDA ran similar campaigns on CNN and BBC in the past.

- Warsaw on BBC
A major campaign promoting Warsaw will run on the BBC Oct. 6 to Nov. 16. Three different advertisements will be shown 173 times. They will feature both Polish and foreign celebrities, an artist, musician and a dancer who explain why they consider Warsaw their home.

- National Sports Center Joins WDA
The National Sports Center is a company set up to build the National Stadium in Warsaw. One of the WDA's priorities is to help make the Euro 2012 soccer championships to be hosted by Poland and Ukraine a success. Cooperation between the WDA and the National Sports Center aims to contribute to such success.

- DTZ Joins WDA
Global property consultants DTZ joined the Warsaw Destination Alliance in July. Alan Colquhoun, Managing Director of DTZ in Poland and Central Europe, said, "Having lived and worked in Warsaw for nine years I am very pleased to extend DTZ's support to WDA. I am convinced that Warsaw is an excellent but underrated business, conference and leisure destination and I hope that DTZ's 142 Warsaw-based people can help make a difference."

- Press Trips to Warsaw
The WDA in cooperation with Polish National Tourism Organization (POT) and the Warsaw Convention Bureau (SBT) in August organized press trips designed to show journalists from Russia and Norway around Warsaw.

Between Aug. 25-27, the Warsaw Destination Alliance hosted three Russian journalists from Cosmopolitan, Beauty & Health and Voyage magazines. The journalists stayed at the Hilton Warsaw Hotel and Convention Center. They visited cultural and historical sites in Warsaw and met at the Sofitel Victoria Hotel with famous designers Marcin Paprocki and Mariusz Brzozowski. They were the first to be shown the design duo's new collection.

At the same time the WDA hosted Norwegian journalist Inge Lundereng from Aftenposten daily. He stayed at Sofitel Victoria Hotel and visited the Warsaw Stock Exchange and met with Orco Property Group, WDA and Warsaw Investor Service Office officials. He also found time to visit the Zachęta National Gallery of Art and the Warsaw Uprising Museum.

- Cooperation between WDA and the Polish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce

The WDA helped the Polish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce organize a seminar at the InterContinental Hotel Sept. 2 entitled Economic Opportunities Between Poland and Portugal-Current and Beyond 2012. Alex Kloszewski, WDA Managing Director, was the discussion panel moderator. Speakers included António Castro, PPCC Vice President, Jarosław Kochaniak, Deputy Mayor of Warsaw, Andrzej Malinowski, Polish Confederation of Private Employers President, Marcin Herra, PL2012 President, and Ireneusz Majcher, Department of Transport Policy and International Affairs Director.
