House of Painting
September 17, 2008
Article's tools:

The owners of the newly opened House of Painting gallery originally had other ideas for their beautiful location on the outskirts of Warsaw. But Lourdes Estrada and Patricia Kloszewski decided to bring art into the setting, and thankfully so. Four months later, the gallery left a positive impression on everyone at its recent opening. And there is no doubt that, as its reputation builds, many people will be making the journey to see the displays here.

The warm natural colors of the small downstairs gallery provide a comforting environment to enjoy the art works. The mixture of paintings, sculptures and jewelry on display promotes Polish artists, showcasing a wide range of talent.

Kloszewski explains their idea to represent well-known names as well as emerging ones: "We mixed it all together, the old school with the new school. That was the interesting part, seeing the old art and the new ones coming up, the new generation of artists."

As a result there is something on offer for every taste-from the intricate woodwork of Jakub Orpiszewski to silk pieces by Stanisław Trzeszczowski, and the brushwork of Zbigniew Nowosadzki. Art collectors and aficionados will also find it well worth their while, thanks to the high standard of artists.

Kloszewski says she plans to promote individual artists through exhibitions, which will start in two months. In addition, art classes will be held here.

Kloszewski welcomes everyone with the same feeling that the gallery exudes, "Come stop by, have a cup of coffee, buy, talk… come and join us, we'll have fun here."

The gallery, at 24 Go¶ciniec St. in Czarnów near Warsaw, is open from Tuesday to Friday 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
