Warsaw's Wielki Theater/National Opera is reviving two productions for children this season, tchaikovsky's ballet Sleeping Beauty and In the Land of the Magic Flute, a musical show based on the opera by Mozart.

Ever since it premiered at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, Russia, Jan. 3, 1890, Sleeping Beauty has won acclaim worldwide. The Warsaw show has choreography by Yuri Grigorovich, an outstanding Russian dancer, choreographer and longtime director of Moscow's Bolshoi Theater.

The show In the Land of the Magic Flute, inspired by Mozart's The Magic Flute, is a chamber version of the opera produced by Ryszard karczykowski, artistic director of the Wielki Theater/National Opera.

Sleeping Beauty, Sept. 21, 6 p.m. In the Land of the Magic Flute, Sept. 24 and 27, noon, 6 p.m., Wielki Theater/National Opera, 1 Teatralny Sq., www.teatrwielki.pl
