Kult, a legendary Polish rock band formed in 1982 and still going strong, will play in Warsaw Oct. 9-10.

Kult started out playing punk, after which they switched to rock, flirting with reggae and poetry. The band has a unique sound, part of which is the voice of Kazik Staszewski, who also writes the group's often provocative lyrics. In the 1980s, the group's unconventional songs often targeted the communist party. After 1989, Kult took aim at the new political order, the Church and financial corporations.

This year, Kult turns 25. Oct. 9, 7 p.m., Stodoła, 10 Batorego St.
Tickets cost zl.40 and zl.45, available at www.stodola.pl and www.shortcut.pl
