The 11th International TOC (Theory of Constraints) for Education Conference is being held at the National Library at 213 Niepodległości St. Warsaw Oct. 2-4 under the banner By Overcoming Constraints, We Create Opportunities.

TOC is a set of tools for teachers, school workers and parents to help students communicate effectively, solve problems, achieve goals and take responsibility for their own personal and educational development. It was developed in the 1970s by Israeli physicist and business leader Eliyahu Goldratt. Goldratt has written 12 best-selling books on business management, including The Goal and Critical Chain and is a recipient of the Forbes weekly Business Guru award. He has successfully applied his methodology to solve problems for some of the world's largest corporations, including General Motors, Intel, Boeing and Ford. Goldratt will be delivering a lecture on TOC for education at the conference Oct. 3.

TOC for Education is an international educational program which was first implemented in the United States in 1995 and which has since been introduced to 22 countries. Around 80,000 teachers and educators use it in their daily work.

The TOC for Education conference is being organized by the Mazovia Teacher Training Center and the Transfer Learning Organization and is being pitched at teachers, lecturers, educators, students, parents, school psychologists, speech therapists, teachers working with children with special needs and other specialists. This is the first time the TOC conference is being held in Poland.
