They gathered experience working in catering and delivery firms in London. Six years ago a pair of twins from Warsaw decided to use their skills and knowledge to set up one of the first outsourcing companies to deliver restaurant meals directly to customers. Today their company, Room Service, is a market leader.

"After years spent working in London, we came back to Poland with our heads full of ideas," says Jacek Bartnicki, one of Room Service's two founders.

"My brother and I wanted to start our own company. We started visiting restaurants in Warsaw and presenting our novel idea."

"Restaurant owners were not really interested at first. They found the idea of having their exclusive meals delivered in special heat-preserving bags scandalous. However, with time they realized that this is one of the best marketing opportunities. Today, we work with 47 restaurants in Warsaw," adds Jacek Bartnicki.

Room Service delivers to Warsaw offices and homes within 60 minutes of placing an order. Corporate clients, to a large extent foreign, make up 30 percent of the clientele. Oriental cuisine such as Thai, Chinese, and Indian, is most in demand. Room Service delivers from restaurants such as Cesarski Pałac, Tandoor Palace, Suparom Thaifood, Le Cedre, Villa Foksal, and Mirador.
