Portuguese Menu at Blue Cactus

Warsaw's Blue Cactus restaurant, which specializes in Tex-Mex food, is offering a new menu full of Portuguese dishes.

Starting October, you can taste a traditional Portuguese soup with the chorizo spicy sausage, kale, cabbage, potatoes, and extra-virgin olive oil: zl.16. For starters, try a Portuguese strudel or delicate crispy dough stuffed with candied leaks with ginger, peppers, savoy cabbage and cod, served in white wine sauce: zl.24.

The main courses include chanfana lamb broiled in red wine with bacon, sweet peppers, nutmeg, and piri-piri peppers, served with blanched-and-fried kale and black olives: zl.52. For dessert, chef Ryszard Majewski recommends Porto jelly served with fresh fig and brown sugar gratin: zl.19. Matching Portuguese wines are available for all dishes.
