Polish heavy metal band Acid Drinkers is gearing up to perform at the Stodoła club in Warsaw Oct. 23.

The band, formed at the end of the 1980s, first played thrash metal but this later evolved into heavy metal. For almost 20 years the band has been shaping the development of the heavy metal scene in Poland. Two of their most significant songs are "Vile Vicious Vision" and "Infernal Connection." The band received acclaim from both the public and critics, who in 1998, 2000 and 2004 granted Acid Drinkers the Fryderyk Polish Music Award for best "hard & heavy" band. The band's latest album is fast, energetic and loaded with outstanding guitar riffs.
