Andrzej Kublik, CEO of Iberia Motor Company SA, exclusive distributor of SEAT cars in Poland, talks with Bartosz Grzybiński.

How is SEAT dealing with the downturn in the European car market?
The current turmoil in the car market coincides with two premieres from SEAT. The New Ibiza is already on sale, and during the Paris Motor Show, we showed off the Exeo, the first D-class limousine built by SEAT, a market segment in which SEAT has never before been present. This car is intended to implement our strategy for the next decade announced by Erich Schmitt, CEO of SEAT, of raising sales to more than 800,000 cars a year.

How does this relate to the Polish market?
In September alone, we opened three new dealerships and authorized SEAT service points: SEAT-Solo in Kielce, in central Poland, SEAT-Szymański in D±browa Górnicza and SEAT-Magaczewski in Gliwice, both in southern Poland. Their official opening coincides with the premiere of the New Ibiza in Poland. The car has elicited strong interest among customers, with many people placing orders even before the official launch. That's a very good sign, which is why we have planned to open several new partner dealerships in the next few months.

What can SEAT offer the Polish customer, that other brands can't?
First of all, design and technology. The new SEAT Ibiza is based on the latest Volkswagen Group floor design created for the needs of the Audi Brand Group, namely Audi, SEAT and Lamborghini. The New Ibiza, designed by Luc Donkerwolke, a former Lamborghini designer, shows a new, atypical and dynamic style. The Ibiza marries beauty and innovative design with the high quality for which the Audi Brand Group is renowned. The first model built within this group, the Altea, has already shown itself to be the car in its class requiring the least repairs for two years running, according to the German DEKRA reliability rating. This demonstrates, that not only do we provide cars with a sporty character and interesting design but also reliability and safety stemming from quality manufacturing. This is one of the reasons why interest in our brand continues to grow.
