Egypt-born Karim Rashid is a world-renowned designer who for many years has lived and worked in New York.

His work has been displayed in 19 museums across the world, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Rashid believes that beauty and functionality should be inseparable. By collaborating with renowned international brands, he aims to influence the esthetics of everyday objects and shape popular culture that is increasingly linked with and inspired by consumer electronics.

Rashid has developed the design concept for the Crystal TV series 6 from Samsung Electronics. According to the designer, the new products have a unique case that is a reference to a crystal, setting new standards in TV design.
