Warsaw Jewish Film Festival

The sixth Warsaw Jewish Film Festival will take place Nov. 4-9. Started in 2003, this year's festival will feature a retrospective of the work of Gustaw Holoubek, a famous Polish actor who died earlier this year.

More than 44 feature films and documentaries will be shown during this year's festival, some of which will be Eastern European premieres. Others have already been shown and singled out for praise at numerous festivals such as the Berlinale and the Cannes, Jerusalem and Toronto film festivals.

The festival with end with the handing out of David's Cameras awards and the screening of The Little Traitor, a movie based on a novel by Israeli writer Amos Oz. Both the director, Lynn Roth, and actor Alfred Molina are expected to attend.

The festival screenings will be in the Kinoteka cinema at the Palace of Culture and Science, 1 Defilad Sq., and the Warsaw School of Economics cinema, 152 Niepodległości St.
