With a staff of more than 2,000, Sener Ingeniería y Sistemas is a leader among engineering companies in Spain. It does business worldwide.

Sener's Warsaw office officially opened last year, but the Spanish corporation has been involved in major infrastructure projects in Poland since 2002.

The vast experience and technical expertise gained by Sener in Spain in the 1980s-in connection with the country's entry into the European Union-can now be used in the Polish market for transportation infrastructure and architectural projects. The Warsaw office coordinates Sener's projects in all of Central and Eastern Europe.

In its business in Poland to date, Sener has taken part in a project involving the extension of Warsaw's Frederic Chopin International Airport, and it also helped prepare a feasibility study for a new airport in central Poland. Moreover, it helped update a feasibility study for expanding the first line of Warsaw's Metro, and prepared technical documentation for a further expansion of the city's subway system.

At the moment, Sener is taking part in work on the A1 freeway project and is providing advice in preparations for railway projects to be carried out with the use of money allocated from the European Union's Cohesion Fund for 2007-2013. The company is also working on modernizing the Cracovia soccer stadium in Cracow, southern Poland.

Sener is a member of business consortia that have won contest for the expansion of Cracow's airport and for designing a new airport in Lublin in southeastern Poland.

Sener and its partners are now handling a project for the modernization of Warsaw's Marywilska Street and are busy developing a master plan for Rzeszów Airport in consortium with the POLCONSULT firm from Warsaw. They are also preparing a blueprint for an airport in the eastern region of Podlasie, and a feasibility study for modernizing a railway track section between the Widzew and Fabryczna stations in £ód¼ in central Poland. Moreover, Sener is working on a project for designing a new train station in Warsaw called pow±zkowska.

The company is pursuing a sustainable development strategy aiming to secure a key position on Poland's engineering services market. Sener relies on a staff of highly qualified employees capable of handling all preliminary stages of investment projects.
