New York's Lincoln Center is hosting Truth or Dare: The Films of Andrzej Wajda, the biggest restrospective of the famous Polish director's films in the United States. The screenings, which are taking place until Nov. 13, include all his feature-length films and two documentaries, in which Wajda comments on his work and the history of Polish cinema.

Wajda is the world's best-known Polish film director. He received a Life Achievement Oscar in 2000 from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. His best-known films include Canal, Promised Land, Man of Iron and his most recent, Katyn.

After the New York showings, Wajda's films will travel to other cities in the United States and Canada. Berkeley will screen the films in January and February; Chicago in February; Portland in March; Seattle in March and April, and Columbus, Ohio, in April. The films will also probably be shown in Boston, Denver and Montreal.
