Some 400 poker players from across the world, including about 30 Poles, will flock to Warsaw's Hyatt Regency Hotel Nov. 15-19 to take part in the PokerStars.com European Poker Tour, the world's largest poker tournament series.

The players will compete for a top prize of zl.2 million, with the total pool of prize money at about zl.8 million.

The competitors will include both professionals and beginners. The tournament will be played in the texas holdem system, a poker variety in which success is 70-percent dependent on the player's ability, experts say.

At the last EPT event in London, Polish poker player Marcin Horecki, once a competitive Alpine skier, took third place, winning over zl.1 million.

The EPT has been held in many cities around Europe, including Barcelona, London, Dortmund, San Remo, Monte Carlo, Budapest, and Prague.
