The Swedish piano duo Peter and Patrik Jablonski will play a recital at the Wielki Theater in Warsaw Nov. 15.

The Jablonski brothers were born in Sweden to a Polish-Swedish family. They have recorded three albums as a duo. They often go on extensive tours of Europe and Japan.

Peter Jablonski has given concerts at the world's most prestigious concert halls, including DSO Berlin, NHK Tokyo, and the Los Angeles philharmonic. His first performances were at the Kennedy Center in washington, D.C., in 1992 and the Royal Festival Hall in London in 1993. In 1998, he won the Orpheus award for his performance of the Piano Concerto by Polish composer Wojciech Kilar.

Patrik Jablonski is a devoted and passionate performer of contemporary classical music, playing the latest works by composers such as Kilar, Poul Ruders, and Andrew March. He is a frequent guest at many festivals of contemporary classical music, including the Warsaw Autumn Festival. As a chamber musician, he plays with artists outside his signature genre, his collaborations including Christian Lindberg and jazz pianist Bobo Stenson.

The Jablonski brothers' concert in Warsaw will feature works such as Sonata in D Major KV 311 by Wolfgang A. Mozart; Peer Gynt-Suite No. 1 by Edvard Grieg; Variations on Paganini by Witold Lutosławski; and The Rite of Spring by Igor Stravinsky.
