Starting Nov. 22, the Muranów movie theater invites music lovers in Warsaw to a special event-concerts broadcast live from the Metropolitan Opera in New York City.

The Metropolitan Opera: Live in HD project was launched in 2006 with a broadcast of The Magic Flute by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The project proved a box-office success, and soon many cinemas and theaters joined in, including venues outside the United States. Broadcasts from the metropolitan Opera are now aired to Japan, Canada and seven European countries. As of Nov. 22, 7 p.m., they will also be available to Warsaw audiences. The Muranów movie theater will kick off the project by showing The Damnation of Faust by Hector Berlioz.
