3.5-4.5 percent is how much Poland's gross domestic product will grow next year, according to a target range set by the finance ministry.

Warsaw Voice SA, the publisher of The Warsaw Voice weekly, was singled out for praise in the 17th European Medal competition held by the European Economic and Social Committee along with Poland's Office of the Committee for European Integration (UKIE) and the Polish Business Centre Club (BCC). European Medals go to products and services that meet European quality standards.

The awards ceremony was held Nov. 20 at the Polish Olympic Committee's Olympic Center in Warsaw. Warsaw Voice SA's general director Juliusz Kłosowski collected the European Medal from Maciej Grelowski, chairman of the BCC's Chief Council.

This was the third European Medal to find its way to our offices. In 2000 Warsaw Voice SA received its first medal for The Warsaw Voice, and in 2004 our editor-in-chief Andrzej Jonas bagged another for promoting Poland's integration with the European Union.
