Omara Portuondo, lead vocalist of the Buena Vista Social Club of Cuba, will perform Dec. 4 during her one and only concert in Poland.

At the Ethno Jazz Festival in Wroc³aw, she will perform songs from her new CD, Gracias, celebrating the 60 years of her stage career. Portuondo performs works by her favorite composers, alongside an excellent lineup of musicians: Indian percussionist Trilok Gurtu, Israeli double bass player Avishai Cohen, Cuban pianist Roberto Fonseca, and percussionist Andres Coayo. The CD also features invited guests Richard Bona and Chico Buarque, who give the record an added African and Brazilian sound.
