Article's tools:

The Polskie Nagrania record label has released the first album by the Motema Africa band, entitled Uwaga-Bardzo Ładna Płyta (Attention: A Very Neat Album). The release features musicians from African countries including Congo, Mali, Senegal, Angola, Ghana, Sudan and the Ivory Coast. Born and raised in Africa, all the artists now live and work in Poland, playing African music on congas, djembe drums, maracas and the balaphon. On the album, they team up with Polish musicians on keyboards, bass guitars and drums and an American who plays the electric guitar.

The album contains 11 tracks with titles such as "Djambo Buana," "Pesa Pesa," "Kamulangu," "Butu Yango" and "Chrz±szcz."

The music of Motema Africa is lively, infinitely energetic and expresses the joy of playing the drums. The band's name means "the heart of Africa." The frontman is Erick Onepunga-Yongo, a versatile musician, vocalist and instrumentalist who wrote the lyrics to all album tracks except for "Chrz±szcz."
