Whitesnake in Concert
November 26, 2008
Article's tools:

British rock legends Whitesnake, famous for songs such as "Here I Go Again" and "Is This Love," will play the Stodoła club in Warsaw Dec. 2.

Whitesnake were founded in the mid-1970s by former Deep Purple frontman David Coverdale. They gained widespread success over the following decade, with a plethora of star musicians passing through their ranks: Jon Lord, Ian Paice from Deep Purple, Bernie Marsden, Micky Moody, Steve Vai, and Aynsley Dunbar.

After numerous lineup changes, 1984's Slide It In was a landmark success. However, the band's most famous songs "Here I Go Again" and "Is This Love" appeared on their 1987 Whitesnake album, which also marked a drift toward the hard rock sound popular at the time.

Their latest album Born To Be Bad was released in April, marking the band's 30 years in the music industry. It was a major success in Scandinavia, hitting the number five slot on the Finnish and Norwegian charts.

Dec. 2, 7 p.m.
