Christmas Shopping
December 3, 2008
Article's tools:

The magic of Christmas comes from family gatherings in homes decorated with Christmas trees, the smell of gingerbread and of course, presents. This year we have searched for Christmas-present ideas among some of the latest products in shops.

Ice box
Finlandia Vodka Worldwide has again designed original seasonal packaging for its vodka. During the Christmas period, Finlandia vodka will be available in an Ice Pack, a limited-edition, handmade box in the shape of an ice cube. The Ice Pack will keep a previously chilled bottle of vodka at a low temperature. Finlandia Vodka Worldwide belongs to the Brown-Forman Corporation, a producer and distributor of high-quality alcohol such as Jack Daniel's, Southern Comfort, Tequila Herradura, el Jimador Tequila, Canadian Mist, Fetzer and Bolla wines, and Korbel California champagnes.

Inspired by nature
Rocks rubbed smooth by mountain streams inspired the look of Samsung's latest DVD player. The F1080/F1080W model plays audio and video on DVD, Video/DVD-R/+R/DVD+RW/-RW/CD/CD-R/RW.

Moreover, equipped with DivX, it displays Polish subtitles where these are available. With the built-in HDMI-CEC (Anynet+) interface, the user can control the Samsung F1080/F1080W and another equipment with just one remote control. The Samsung F1080/ F1080W comes in two colors and costs just zl.399, a great find for the present hunter.

Elite notebook
PC maker Hewlett Packard has produced the new elite HDX notebook series, which is designed as a multimedia home entertainment center. The notebook is a laptop computer, television and music player all in one, shiny, titanium-colored package. The built-in TV DVB-T digital tuner with remote control instantly transforms the computer into a HD television. Digital data can be easily transferred from a digital camera or DVD player with the 5-in-1 card reader. A fingerprint identification device comes as standard and gives the user easy access to data and at the same time increases notebook security. Thanks to this device, it is not necessary to remember a lot of complicated passwords and PIN numbers. The HDX notebook's logo is embellished using HP Imprint 2 technology and the case is manufactured in a similar way to that used for the luxury-car interiors. The HDX notebook is available in stores from November at a recommended price of around zl.6,000.
