The 50th Jazz Jamboree is nearing its end. To celebrate this, an exceptional concert, Classic and Jazz, will take place in Warsaw's National philharmonic Dec. 7. The program will feature works by the greatest Polish classical composers reinterpreted by leading jazz musicians and the Aukso orchestra.

The concert's repertoire was selected by Andrzej Jagodziński, a renowned Polish jazz pianist. Krzysztof Penderecki's Ciaccona in Memoria Giovanni Paolo II was added to the program. The reinterpretation of this piece will hark back to a tradition of mixing classical music and modern jazz, popular as a genre in the 1960s under the name Third Stream.

Włodzimierz Nahorny will play his interpretation of Karol Szymanowski and Mieczysław Karłowicz. Lena Ledoff will interpret Chopin and Leszek Możdżer will adapt work by Witold Lutosławski.
