AmCham Has New Board of Directors

The American Chamber of Commerce in Poland elected a new board of directors for 2009-2010 at an annual general meeting of member companies Dec. 10.

Roman Rewald, a partner at Weil Gotshal & Manges, was reelected AmCham chairman for a two-year term. New vice-chairs of the board of directors are Richard Lada, vice-president of the managing board of Telesto, and Judith Gliniecki, a partner at Wierzbowski Eversheds. Stan Popow, managing partner at FinaCorp, was reelected treasurer and Peter Kay, a partner at the KPMG consulting company, was reelected secretary. The other members of the board of directors are Andrzej D±browski, managing director of Philip Morris Polska; Paul Fogo, US senior counsel, Miller Canfield; Tony Housh, member of the board of CEDC; Robert L. Koński, a member of the board, Kulczyk Holding; Alex Kwiatkowski, chairman of the board, A. T. Kearney; John Lynch, president of Lynka; and Joseph Wancer, president and CEO of Bank BPH.

The American Chamber of Commerce has been active in Poland since 1990. The members include over 300 companies with American capital whose total investment outlays have passed the $15-billion mark and created over 150,000 new jobs.
