Russian band Leningrad, formed in 1999, will play a gig Jan. 17 at the Stodoła club in Warsaw.

Combining a wide a range of styles from rock to reggae and ska to swing and punk, Leningrad are one of the most recognizable vanguard acts in Eastern Europe. Frontman Sergei Shnurov (a.k.a. Shnur) is known for his sharp tongue and unwillingness to compromise.

The concert at Stodoła will be Leningrad's second performance in Warsaw. The band played at the Palladium club last May to promote their latest album Aurora.
