The World Trade Center Warsaw has recently set up the Ambassador Club at the Bristol Hotel, a city landmark, in conjunction with the Polish Chamber of Commerce. The club is the only high-level networking forum of its kind in the country and the Bristol Hotel was the sole sponsor of its inaugural meeting, held Jan. 14.

Club founder Jolanta Tourel says that informal diplomatic get-togethers can promote Polish culture around the world and offer opportunities to make business contacts. The club's first meeting was an occasion to farewell U.S. Ambassador Victor Ashe and welcome six newly arrived diplomats.

The Ambassador Club intends to hold regular meetings with the next one scheduled for March.
