James Blunt will be performing at Warsaw's Kongresowa Hall Feb. 19.

Blunt was predestined to become a career soldier, having been born into a military family. He bucked the trend though by regaling Serbian villages with "Give Peace a Chance" when he was stationed in Kosovo. Blunt eventually braved the disapproval of his family and left the army in 2002.

He released his debut album Back to Bedlam, recorded in Los Angeles, in the spring of 2005. The lead single "You're Beautiful" shot to number one on the U.S. charts, a feat no Brit had achieved since Elton John's "Candle in the Wind", and the album has so far sold 11 million copies. Blunt's charisma and distinctive voice, together with his 1970s image, has also won him a slew of female fans from all over the world.
