Mech at Hard Rock

Mech, one of the first Polish hard rock bands, will play Feb. 24 at the Hard Rock Cafe in Warsaw.Formed in 1977 by Maciej Januszko (vocals, guitar) and Robert Milewski (vocals, keyboard), Mech quit playing in 1987, starting back up in 2004.

A year later they released an album with several old pieces in new arrangements and new music in hard and heavy rock style. Mech plays Poland's major festivals and cultural events, such as Przystanek Woodstock, the finale of the Great Christmas Aid Orchestra charity drive in Warsaw, Hunterfest and the Metal Hammer Festival. They have played as opening acts for Korn, BlackLabelSociety, Soulfly and Black Sabbath-Heaven&Hell.
