They play on everything from brooms and lighters to garbage cans-practically anything can be used to create enticing rhythms in the hands of a member of Stomp. This March the group will play more than a dozen shows in Poland. Their Warsaw concert takes place March 10 in the Palace of Culture's Sala Kongresowa.

Last year's tour by the band created by Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas was supposed to have only five dates, but the enormous interest the group attracted meant it was extended to over three times that many.

Stomp are known for their improvisation skills and bold musical experiments. They have appeared all around the world and have won the Olivier and Obie Awards. They have garnered rave press reviews everywhere they have played.

Stomp's shows are a blend of theater, music and slapstick. The band uses everything except conventional musical instruments to create fascinating soundscapes including hammers striking metal covers and people walking on steel platforms. Any everyday activity or event can be reused as part of their live performance. During a week of concerts, Stomp can go through a huge amount of "instruments"-30 brooms, 12 pairs of drumsticks, 200 liters of water, 8 bananas and 12 boxes of matches.
