Colliers Looking for Retail Locations for DIM Chain
Real estate consulting company Colliers International will look for retail locations for French clothing chain DIM.

DIM's range includes lingerie, men's underwear, nightwear and swimwear. Originally from France, the company has outlets in many European countries. This year it plans to open new stores in Poland in cities with more than 100,000 residents.

Galeria Malta to Open in Poznań
Galeria Malta, a new retail and service center in the western city of Poznań with 170 stores and service points on 54,000 square meters of space, will open March 25.

The three-story complex, whose construction began in March 2007, is the biggest shopping and entertainment center in western Poland and also a key project on the Polish market for Neinver, a Spanish investor, developer and real estate management company operating in Europe.

Apart from 170 retail outlets, Galeria Malta will be home to a Multikino multi-screen movie theater, a fitness club, and many cafes and restaurants. The project will also feature Poland's first Avanti store; the Wielkopolska region's first stores selling popular Spanish fashion brands Bershka, Pull&Bear and Oysho from Inditex; as well as a large store of the British-based Marks&Spencer chain.

Galeria Malta lies on the intersection of Baraniaka and Katowicka streets, next to Lake Malta and the Malta recreational grounds in Poznań. It is 5 minutes by car from the city center, on the road leading from Ławica Airport. Access to the A2 freeway (Berlin-Warsaw) is 7 km from Galeria Malta, and new residential developments and office projects are being built nearby.

GTC Reports Handsome 2008 Profit
Developer Globe Trade Centre SA has released its financial results for 2008. Net profit for the whole year was 189 million euros, including 53 million euros in the fourth quarter.

The company's total assets were worth 2.6 billion euros, and equity stood at 1.2 billion euros at the end of 2008. The investment portfolio was worth 1.8 billion euros.

Operating revenue in 2008 totaled 114 million euros, 55 percent more than in 2007. This is the result of a 38-percent growth in revenue from leasing (to 72.1 million euros) and a 100-percent increase in apartment and house sales (to 42.5 million euros).

Revenue from leases grew thanks to the completion of nine new office projects. In Warsaw, these were the Nothus and Zephirus buildings in the Okęcie Business Park, two buildings in the Platinium Business Park, and the Nefryt office building. In Wrocław, the company completed the Globis building, and in Cracow it delivered the Edison office building and the office part of the Galeria Kazimierz complex. The company also completed the GTC Square building in Belgrade, Serbia, and opened its first retail and entertainment center in Romania-Galleria Buzau. Overall, GTC completed about 115,000 sq m of office and retail space last year.
