Polish Airports State Enterprise (PPL) Feb. 20 held its third annual awards ceremony for its partners operating at Warsaw's Frederic Chopin Airport.

Package delivery and freight services company UPS, based in Atlanta in the United States, was named largest cargo carrier for last year transporting the highest volume of cargo through the airport, which is managed by PPL. UPS won the award thanks in part to the MD-11 plane (pictured) which, with a capacity of 85 tons, is the largest aircraft regularly flying to and from Frederic Chopin Airport. The MD-11 flies four times a week from Cologne, Germany, to Warsaw and then on to Shanghai in China.
