It has already become a tradition that Lord of the Dance, one of the most famous musical shows featuring Irish dancers, is staged in Poland in early spring every year. This time, Warsaw audiences can enjoy the show March 26-28 at the Kongresowa Hall.

The musical was written by Michael Flatley, who first became famous as a performer with another Irish show, Riverdance. In Lord of the Dance, the Lord of the title fights evil represented by Don Dorcha, who wants to seize Planet Ireland. The plot, which also involves a love story, is based on Irish folk tales.The cast of Lord of the Dance are masters of Irish dance from all over the world. The show features 21 scenes boasting rich costumes and elaborate sets. The dancers tap their feet about 151,000 times in a single show. Staged in 60 countries, Lord of the Dance has been seen by 50 million people. With over 10 million CDs featuring music and images from the show sold, Lord of the Dance has raked in over $500 million to date.
