Question-and-answer session with Marek Lis, general director of Rancho pod Bocianem:

What is the story behind the stork in the name?
As you enter the ranch, there is a huge alder tree with storks nesting in its branches. Last year, the pair had four fledglings, a rare occurrence for storks. The storks love our place and they are a good omen. Just like the storks, our guests like returning here.

The ranch has four modern conference rooms for a total of 200 people. How are they equipped?
The standard is the highest, and the conference rooms also feature a unique style inspired by the architecture of a traditional Polish manor house. Needless to say, they are air-conditioned and have audiovisual equipment, including projectors, screens, and DVD players. Wireless internet is available in all the facilities. All of that is standard equipment, but we really have everything one needs to hold a professional conference or a symposium. Our guests are particularly fond of the Stara Izba room, which is designed to resemble a traditional Polish inn and decorated with genuine architectural details of old. All the conference rooms adjoin an open-space area that is ideal for coffee breaks during conferences. I must add we have exquisite cuisine.

What about the hotel facilities?
We have 46 high-standard rooms and suites with jacuzzi tubs. We organize various outdoor recreational activities; our specialty are barbecue parties and picnics for anywhere from a dozen to several hundred people. Companies and private groups are also welcome to hold feasts and celebrations here. This enclave of peace and quiet is just a half-hour drive from Warsaw, but it's like a completely different world that I encourage everybody to visit.
