French vocalist Patricia Kaas will perform at Warsaw's kongresowa Hall April 26 as part of a European concert tour promoting her latest album Kabaret.

Songs released on the album pay tribute to the music of the 1930s and the legacy of such icons of the decade as Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo and Coco Chanel. Kaas sings the songs in both French ("Et s'il fallait le faire") and English ("Falling In Love Again"). During her Warsaw concert, Kaas will also perform some of her older songs, including "Mademoiselle chante le blues," "Les hommes qui passent," and "Mon mec a moi."

Kaas grew up as one of many siblings in a mixed French-and-German family in Lorraine, France. The song "Mademoiselle chante le blues," which French composer Didier Barbelivien wrote specially for Kaas, became a big success, and the singer went on to sell several million albums in 1988-1999. In those years, she worked with a number of French composers, including Jean-Jacques Goldman and Pascal Obispo. In 2001, she starred in the movie And Now… Ladies and gentlemen directed by Claude Lelouch. In 2005, Kaas gave a concert in Poland, and two years later she performed in a show aired by Polish public television channel TVP1.
