Golfing at Rajszew
An international crowd of 124 golfers came to Rajszew near Warsaw April 4 to compete in the Hyundai Amateur Golf Championship tournament. FWG&CC Rajszew is the best-known golf club in Poland, and the tournament was special because it marked 20 years since Poland and South Korea established diplomatic relations.
Politicians from both countries were on hand to make speeches during the official part of the event. South Korean Ambassador to Poland Joon Jae Lee and Polish foreign ministry official Tadeusz Chomicki, director of the department for Asia and the Pacific, took the floor to speak about Polish-Korean friendship.
Two competitors, Bill Carrey and Jacek Kubicki, dominated the tournament, and other top finishers included Gillbert Heith, Ewa Kozak, Ho Youl Kim, and Hyurg Kyun Park.
