A team of three students from State Secondary School No. 2 in Opole, southern Poland, won the Junior Achievement JA Titan competition for young Polish entrepreneurs. Henryka Bochniarz, president of Boeing Central and Eastern Europe, which sponsored the competition, handed the top prize to the winners on April 17 in Warsaw.

More than 13,000 students took part in the competition, running their own virtual manufacturing companies.

JA Titan is a business simulation for high-school students that uses an interactive web-based computer simulation. During game play, students run a manufacturing company and master six key business decisions: setting product prices, production levels, marketing expenses, research and development costs, capital investment level, and donations to charity. Students explore how price and production can affect business performance, learn methods to make capital investment decisions, promote new business growth through capital investment, and learn why businesses choose to give to charity.
