Marking 200 years since the death of Austrian composer Joseph Haydn (1732-1809), the Holy Cross Basilica on Warsaw's Krakowskie Przedmieście Street will May 31 host a special concert performed by the orchestra of the capital's Wielki Theater/National Opera, conducted by Austrian musician Peter Lang. The concert is part of the 19th International Festival of Sacred Music.

The concert will feature the oratorio The Creation, which Haydn wrote in 1796-1798. The libretto was written by Gottfried van Swieten, the prefect of the Imperial Library in Vienna.
