Warsaw-based Jems Architekci architects May 15 signed a zl.6.7 million contract with the Polish Airports Authority (PPL) to design a five-star hotel at the capital's Frederic Chopin airport.

Building the hotel will cost PPL zl.90 million while furnishing it will eat up another zl.30 million.

Construction work is to begin in late August or early September next year and is due to be finished by the time the Euro 2012 European soccer championships kick off in Poland. This will be the second hotel at the Warsaw airport, after the Courtyard by Marriott. The new hotel will have 400 beds and around 220 rooms.
