70 percent of Poles surveyed by TNS OBOP polling company in May said they thought the Polish economy was in crisis.

A group of foreign businesspeople, embassy officials and chamber of commerce executives will take a study tour of the northeastern part of the Mazovia region June 18. This will be the fourth such tour to date, organized by Agencja Rozwoju Mazowsza SA, an agency that aims to support the development of the Mazovia province, which lies in central Poland.

The tour aims to attract foreign investors' interest to the region and business opportunities available there. The visitors will be able to familiarize themselves with the potential of the region's cities and districts and see specific sites awaiting investment and development. They will also have an opportunity to sample traditional Mazovian dishes and find out about the local culture and customs.

The study tour is an opportunity to showcase the success stories of foreign companies that have invested in northeastern Mazovia. These examples are expected to serve as the best recommendation for the region, confirming its investment appeal. The visit will enable entrepreneurs to become acquainted with new projects in the region and establish direct contacts with local authorities.

Tour participants will visit sites such as a pulp-and-paper factory operated by Stora Enso Poland company in Ostrołęka 120 km northeast of Warsaw; and a heat and power complex run by Energa Elektrownie Ostrołęka SA. The visitors will also stop by the town of Pułtusk 70 km north of Warsaw, see the Kurpie Culture Museum in Ostrołęka, and visit an Old Manor in the village of Stary Susk near Ostrołęka.

The tour will be held under the auspices of the Mazovia province chairman, Mazovia province governor, and the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ).
