Strawberry Summer

Summer has arrived at the Blue Cactus restaurant, which specializes in southwestern cuisine. The restaurant recently opened its summer patio-one of the largest and greenest in town. Celebrating the season, Blue Cactus has unveiled a new special menu in which strawberries have pride of place.

To whet your appetite, you may want to start with the Citrus Salad (zl.26) with feta cheese, oranges, dried tomatoes and fried pine nuts. If you feel like having something more delicate, try the Strawberry Carpaccio (zl.28) with grilled chicken breast served on spinach leaves and sprinkled with a ginger and lime dressing.

As a main course it is worth trying the grilled prawns with strawberries (zl.39) and Cajun spices, served on noodles with mint sauce. Also try the pork loin with strawberries (zl.45). The meat is first marinated in balsamic strawberry vinegar and then served with hot strawberries, salad and rice with raisins and cinnamon.

For dessert, treat yourself to the strawberry casserole with Zabaglione custard (zl.19) or the crispy strawberry quesadilla (zl.19) filled with vanilla cheese and fruit.
