Helping Gifted Kids

To mark 25 years of its program to help gifted and talented students, the National Children's Fund will hold a grand concert June 6 at the Concert Hall of the National Philharmonic in Warsaw.

The concert, which begins at 6 p.m., will feature musicians who have been helped by the Fund, including Beata Bilińska (piano), the winner of the MIDEM Classical Award at Cannes 2008; Łukasz Kuropaczewski (classical guitar), one of the winners of the International Classical Guitar Competition in Almeria, Spain, in 2000; Agata Szymczewska (violin), the winner of the 2006 International H. Wieniawski Violin Competition in Poznań; and Marcin Zdunik (cello), the winner of the New Talent 2008 title at the International Forum of Young Performers organized by the European Broadcasting Union. The soloists will be accompanied by the National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Antoni Wit.
