Hard Rock Lands Fishbone

Fishbone, one of the most influential American bands of the 1980s, were the first music act to play a hybrid of punk rock, ska, reggae, metal and other genres. They were the inspiration for the likes of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Mike Patton. Fishbone will play in Warsaw June 16 at the Hard Rock Café.

Their eclectic combinations of seemingly incompatible genres became trendy in the early 1990s and acts like the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Faith No More promptly jumped on the bandwagon. Fishbone, on the other hand, failed to achieve wider popularity due to problems with record labels and a changing lineup.
