The Museum of Applied Arts in Poznań is hosting an exhibition of unconventional ceramics, remarkable furniture, sketches and prototypes designed by Patricia Urquiola.

Born in Spain, Urquiola is a contemporary designer who works in Milan. She made her mark designing furniture, including seats, armchairs and upholstered beds. Her designs feature touches of nature in organic shapes and distinctive colors and textures.

The exhibition shows how ceramics are made, from raw materials to casts and end products in serial production.

Museum of Applied Arts in Poznań, 1 Góra Przemysła, open through the end of June.
