National Park Picnic with Music
Thousands are expected to attend a musical family picnic June 27 marking the 50th anniversary of the Kampinoski National Park. The event will be held in the Polana Jakubów area in Izabelin, near Warsaw.
The program will feature an opera and operetta gala with performances by Leszek ¦widziński (tenor), Sohn Ye Young (soprano) and Robert Szpręgiel (baritone). Other performers will include actors from Warsaw musical theaters such as Beata Wyr±bkiewicz, Barbara Melzer, Wojciech Dmochowski and Paweł Hartlieb. There will also be a concert by the Warsaw University of technology Song and Dance Ensemble and by the Capitol band. A concert by singer Majka Jeżowska will be part of the children's program.
Kampinoski National Park was created in 1959. Located in the Mazovia region in central Poland, it is almost 40,000 hectares in area and is known for its wildlife and bird species.
