BTS Warehouses for Torfarm
Panattoni Europe, one of the largest developers of warehouse space in Europe, has signed a contract for the construction of two build-to-suit (BTS) warehouses for Torfarm, a pharmaceutical distribution company, with total space of about 35,000 sq m. Torfarm supplies pharmacies all over Poland. The new warehouses, one to be built in the Warsaw region and the other near Poznań, will be ready as of next year. The facility near Warsaw will have about 23,000 sq m, including a warehouse (21,500 sq m) and offices (1,500 sq m). Near Poznań, Panattoni will build Torfarm a warehouse of about 10,000 sq m and offices occupying 1,480 sq m. These will be high-bay warehouses equipped with automated distribution systems.

The start of construction of the Warsaw facility is planned for the fourth quarter of this year, while work on the Poznań warehouse will start in the first quarter of 2010. The general contractor for both projects is Goldbeck Sp. z o.o. The new warehouses built by Panattoni will replace Torfarm's current warehouses in the two cities. Torfarm was represented by Colliers International in the transaction.
