Article's tools:

An unusual new art gallery, the awangarda Studio, opened at Warsaw's Europejski Hotel June 9. It is the only place in Warsaw exhibiting works by Polish artists with learning difficulties. The gallery also aims to provide space for other types of artistic events.

Apart from pictures painted by artists working with the Awangarda Foundation, which launched the gallery, visitors to will have an opportunity to see unique ceramic pieces made by artists during recent workshops in the Polish Sculpture Center in Orońsko. Awangarda Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote art by people with learning difficulties. Operating for five years now, the foundation uncovers new talents and helps them develop. It organizes artistic events, concerts, opening days, fashion shows and workshops. By doing so, it creates a meeting place for people with learning difficulties, well-known professional artists, business and media people, and people from non-governmental and social organizations.
