Meet Morcheeba

Article's tools:

Trip-hop specialists Morcheeba are playing at Warsaw's Stodoła Club July 16. Morcheeba was founded in 1995 by the Godfrey brothers, who joined up with vocalist Skye. Their performances combine trip-hop, funk, disco and pop. The group is famous mostly for trip-hop ballads like "Trigger Hippie" and "Blindfold." They also gained popularity for "Rome Wasn't Built in a Day," "The Sea" and "Otherwise," which went on to become pop classics. Morcheeba have released eight albums and sold several million records, also winning over fans of club music looking for good chill-out ballads.

This is Morcheeba's first appearance in Warsaw despite the band's huge popularity in Poland and several prior visits to the country.

July 16, Stodoła Club, 10 Batorego St., 8 p.m., tickets: zl.100 available from www.eventim.pl
