The Baltexpo 2009 15th International Shipbuilding and Shipping Exhibition, the fourth-largest shipbuilding trade show in the world and a key event for the maritime sector in Poland, will be held at Gdańsk's Olivia Hall Sept. 1-3.

As usual, Baltexpo will be a showcase for sectors such as shipbuilding, ship repairs, ports and terminals, ship equipment, ship engines, maritime electronic systems and maritime services.

Leading companies from the shipbuilding sector will attend together with their partners. Once again, the Olivia Hall will bring together those who decide the future of the Polish shipbuilding industry and who have an influence on the shape of the maritime economy in Europe. Baltexpo will include collective stands organized with the help of foreign government institutions, highlighting the interest in the Polish shipbuilding industry from international ship equipment suppliers.

The previous event, in 2007, drew almost 400 exhibitors, from Austria, Belgium, Britain, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United States and Poland. The sectors represented included shipbuilding, ship repairs and overhauls, ship equipment, deck equipment, ports and port services, terminals, freight handling equipment, shipping lines, maritime and port services, maritime publications and classification societies.
